Dr. Jerry W. Gilley is Interim Dean of the College of Business and Technology as well as the Department Chair and Professor of Human Resource Development and Technology at the University of Texas at Tyler. Author or co-author of 22 books, over 135 refereed articles, monographs, and book chapters. Jerry’s scholarly interests include strategic HRD, organizational development and change, and performance management. He received the Outstanding HRD Academic Scholar Award in 2008; was awarded the Outstanding College of Business and Technology member at The University of Texas at Tyler in 2013, and was awarded the Administrative Merit Award for Professional Recognition at Western Michigan University; and his book ‘Organizational Learning, Performance, and Change’ was selected as the Academy of HRD Book of the Year. He was President of the Academy of Human Resource Development from 2006-2008. He has served as Chair of the Accreditation Committee since 2001. He was formerly a Principal at Mercer Human Resource Consulting, Inc.
